In order to ensure we continue to process submissions efficiently, we will no longer give reasons for declining in principle. However, if you are unsure why your image was declined, please re-read our rules carefully.

The number one reason for declining images is for violation of our rule that prohibits "focus on man-made presence or human form". Please note that--with the exception of some images in the domestic animals category--we decline any image that contains a person, part of a person (such as hands), or anything man-made including but not limited to: walls, boats, benches, overhead power lines, garbage, roads, houses and so on.

If your image was declined, please review it to see whether it contains a person or an element that is man-made, as this forms 99% of our reasons for declining an image.
